In the first three quarters of this year, China's power and energy storage battery production exceeded 572 Gigawatt hours, a year-on-year increase of nearly 37 percent. Lithium batteries are used to power most electric vehicles. Recently, CCTV's English channel reported on the development of Welion New Energy's solid-state lithium battery, and Welion New Energy's entrepreneurs and R&D team found a new technological breakthrough.

WeLion's Xiang Jin says the introduction of the new battery technology opens up unexplored markets for his company.

We will begin mass production of our semi-solid state power products for EVs early next year, and semi-solid state energy storage products this year. Electric vehicles equipped with the batteries can travel over 1,000 kilometers in range on a single charge."

Xiang says it's hoped his company's development of new power batteries will help drive China's high-level development.
